Information Meetings are gatherings where we discuss the tenets of the classical method and how our comprehensive CC curriculum puts that method into practice. Our programs are outlined to share the knowledge that parents are absolutely capable of homeschooling from the early grades through high school. Open Houses are opportunities to see our programs and leaders in action.

Practicum Speaker:
Our speaker for this day of learning and gaining new understanding is Ann Lightner. She and her husband are both Directors at the Petersburg Classical Conversations Campus and they are excited to be a part of CC’s growth in Northern Kentucky. Tom and Ann have been blessed with 9 children who they have been homeschooling for 10 years.  Ann’s experiences along her own personal journey of classical learning give her a unique perspective when sharing about a classical education. Come be a part of her story as she speaks and leads our discussions at this Practicum.

Morning Session: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
What is a classical education?
Bring a notebook!  Whether this is your first time to hear about a classical education, or you are already well on your way to implementing a classical education with your children, there will be wonderful nuggets of valuable information for you to gather and think about. Not only will information be shared from our speaker, but there will be time for group discussions and Q&A.

Lunch: 12:00-1:00 pm
Pack a lunch to enjoy while fellowshipping with other guests!
(If needed, there is a McDonalds and Taco Bell within a 5 minute drive from the church.)
FYI- Drinks and snacks are permitted in the auditorium.

Afternoon Session: 1:00-3:00 pm
Book Discussion: “The Question”
Ann will be giving an overview on Leigh Bortin’s wonderful new book, The Question: Teaching Your Child the Essentials of Classical Education. What do questions have to do with a classical education?

Come find out!
